Overview

This project involved a full transformation of an existing three-bedroom property into a spacious and modern five-bedroom family home. The client’s goal was to significantly increase living space, improve functionality, and create a layout that would support their lifestyle both now and in the future.

Design Approach

The redesigned first floor now accommodates five bedrooms, including two generous en-suite rooms that enhance comfort and privacy for family members and guests. This substantial uplift in accommodation ensures the home can meet the demands of a growing household. On the ground floor, the layout was completely reimagined. The new open-plan lounge, kitchen, and dining area creates a bright and sociable hub for daily living and entertaining. This is complemented by a separate sitting room, two WCs, and a dedicated utility space, creating a more organised and flexible home environment.

In addition to the internal improvements, the client is also introducing a bespoke home office within the garden. This standalone workspace will provide a quiet, functional area separate from the main house, supporting remote working and offering further versatility.

Outcome

The finished plan delivers a dramatically improved property with a balance of private and shared spaces. By maximising the footprint and modernising the layout, the project has created a highly functional home tailored to the client’s needs. With the external office also underway, the overall transformation is an exciting step forward for the homeowner. While works are still underway, we've had the pleasure of seeing the ongoing construction and are impressed with how it's coming along. We look forward to seeing the final product!
