Beechen Glamping, Bishops Waltham
Overview
The owner of an established glamping business approached us to design a pair of new guest lodges to enhance their site offering. The brief required full architectural documentation, including floor plans, elevations, and site plans, for two high-quality, self-contained holiday units that would feel both spacious and inviting for year-round visitors.
Design Approach
Each lodge was designed with a strong focus on comfort and flexibility, featuring an open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area that maximises natural light and creates a welcoming social space. Both lodges include a bathroom with a shower and two generous bedrooms, each benefiting from its own private balcony to further connect guests with the surrounding landscape.
Architecturally, the lodges combine robust materials with a contemporary aesthetic, resulting in a cosy charm. Both units also incorporate patio areas designed for outdoor dining and barbecuing, essential for a glamping environment.
Outcome
The final designs offer two high-quality lodges that complement the countryside landscape, whilst enhancing guest experience and increasing commercial capacity. Between the comfortable layouts, appealing material choices and visual charm, the lodges are a valuable addition to the client’s glamping business.
